Stugeron tablets contain the active ingredient cinnarizine, which is a type of medicine called an antihistamine. (NB. Cinnarizine is also available without a brand name, ie as the generic medicine.) Cinnarizine is used to control travel sickness and the symptoms of inner ear disorders such as Meniere's disease.Vomiting is controlled by an area of the brain called the vomiting centre. COX-1 does not produce inflammatory prostaglandins, but does produce others that have useful effects, including some that are involved in maintaining a healthy stomach and intestinal lining. If you are unable to swallow the capsules, you may carefully open a capsule and sprinkle all of the beads it contains over a spoonful of cool or room temperature applesauce. Swallow the entire mixture immediately without chewing.Your doctor will probably start you on a low dose of carvedilol and gradually increase your dose to allow your body to adjust to the medication. Continue taking carvedilol even if you feel well. Do not stop taking carvedilol without talking to your doctor. Sumatriptan does not prevent migraine attacks.Sumatriptan comes as a tablet to take by mouth and a nasal spray. It should be used at the first sign of a migraine headache. If you are at risk for heart disease and you have never taken sumatriptan before, you may need to take the first dose in your doctor's office. Usually only one dose is needed. If pain is not relieved with the first dose, your doctor may prescribe a second dose to be taken after at least 2 hours. Do not take more than 200 mg of the tablets or 40 mg of the nasal spray in any 24-hour period.
